Kyle's sister Nika go married last week. The wedding was absolutely beautiful. She got married in Silverton, Oregon. They were married in a private park. There was an amazing heart shaped pond, with a little island in the middle of it. The flowers surrounding the park were gorgeous, as was the bride. The ceremony was so sweet, and after we were able to munch on yummy quiche, rainier cherries, cheese, and bread. The cake was so pretty, and delicious. The flowers on top of the cake are purple lilies. The picture looks like it is decorated with fondant, but it is actually a cake called La Joconde. The decorations are baked right into the cake. The flavors were amazing. I got a taste of the cassis layer, which is an almond flavored cake with a black currant mousse, and french vanilla buttercream. The other layer that I tried was lavender pear. It was AMAZING! I love Bocce' ball and so it was so much fun playing at the reception. There were also games of badminton and croquette. Eric loves all sports, but especially loved the Seattle Mariners. Nika wanted to surprise him with a groom's cake so and asked me to make it for them. It was really fun playing with fondant, and figuring out how to make it into a baseball. I hope he liked it :) They were able to drive away the perfect car that matched her eggplant wedding color, and as they left we threw handfulls of lavender at them, it smelled so fresh, and pretty. Congratulations to the wonderful couple. They are so cute together, and love to make each other happy. Eric brings her flowers every Monday, and had sent her a card that he wrote to her while she was getting her hair and makeup done. They do some much to show each other how much they love each other, and it was fun to be able to be with them on their special day.
