Bullied :(

I just got back from a little jog down by the river. I came across a group of five or six teenagers that were all walking side by side. I was jogging towards them pushing Addisen in the stroller. They were taking up the whole trail, and there was that awkward moment where I wasn't sure which side I should go to in order to pass them. I hung to the left but no one got out of the way to let me by. Finally at the last second I was able to squeeze in between two of them. They barely even let me through. As I passed one of the girls looked me in the eye and told me that I need to lose weight. Seriously? Was I just really bullied by a bunch of 15 year olds? How awkward. It just made me so happy that I am not in high school anymore. What a strange age.

  8. In Rome, by the Colosseum, there are a bunch of guys that dress up like gladiators so you can take your picture with them and then you are supposed to tip them like 5 or 10 bucks. We were walking by them on our trip last year and I was feeling pretty and having a good time when one of the gladiator dudes gets in my face and says in English with a thick accent "Hey, Hello, is call a diet!" Yeah, like that's really going to attract business. I had my camera around my wrist on it's string and I hit him accross the shoulder with it and walked away triumphantly leaving him in shock. Camera still works. Pure impulse reaction. Later, I thought of all the clever replies I could have made that would have shocked him more, I really wish I had said, "You're an idiot!" Sorry, I know this is your blog, but I thought you might appreciate the story considering your experience. Sorry to make such a long comment. Amen to what Leah said!
