Q tips anyone?
I was in the grocery store and noticed a group of five or six ladies storming the aisles with coupons, hunting for great deals. I thought to myself, how much can they truly be saving if they are driving from store to store. I also pondered how much time they had spent going through coupons and figured that they were wasting their time. The other day I came across these two different blogs and was amazed at how much these women claim to save. In one the girl takes a picture of all of the groceries that she bought. It was supposed to be about $103.00 but she got it for only $11 http://couponaddicted.blogspot.com/ Granted, Kyle would think I was super crazy if I came home with twelve boxes of Qtips. But heck- if buying a bajillion helps you save that much money, why not add it to your storage? If all Hell breaks loose you'll be set for years! The other website is krazycouponlady.blogspot.com. There she has done all of the work for you. You just have to see what awesome deals you can get and print them off. There is a lot of coupon lingo that I haven't quite figured out, but I am excited to see how much I can save, and thought that you might like to check it out too.

K so I am a skeptic but when Smiths was having their cookies and crackers for 4 for $4.00, I printed some coupons and I got 2 things of Bryers ice cream, 2 boxes of cheeze its and 2 boxes of fudge shoppe cookies for $4.25. I was shocked and thrilled. Thanks for the sites.
ReplyDeleteI have a list of links that I use on my blog, but my favorite (and most useful) is http://grocerysmarts.com/utah/lists/splashg84cso.php. I love its feature of easily making and printing your grocery list. I probably save an average of $100 a month on groceries and household products.
ReplyDeletei think the trick is finding coupons for things you actually NEED! i was behind a girl in line at wal mart (i try to avoid that place at all costs, but unfortunately ended up there. and of course the checker had no clue what he was doing and was taking forever) and then i saw that the girl had this huuuuuge stack of coupons and i thought "oh great"... and of course i was in a hurry and it was the only checkstand open. it took forever! well she ended up getting bags and bags of useless garbage (seriously. i was wondering what the heck it all even was) for like $12. She squealed with delight and i was very annoyed! maybe the piles of junk are very precious to her! ha ha. but hey, i'm all about not paying full price for anything. everything goes on sale at some point and if you watch the ads and watch for coupons you can save a lot of money without having to buy dumb stuff! ok, i'm done...! :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE coupons! But I have never got into the grocery coupons. Seriously, I don't want or need 12 boxes of Q-tips, or poptarts, or frozen cardboard pizza, or anyother disgusting food that I wouldn't eat even if I was starving! Plus I don't have the time to look though the newspaper everyday to cut out the coupons for the disgusting food. There is a lady I work with that cuts her coupons out inbetween calls and she claims to save a ton of money, but once again I don't eat cardboard so I think it would still be a waste of time. The coupons I use all the time is the printable coupons, lets say I am going to JCPennys. Before I leave I google "printable JCPenny coupons." Coupons come up, usually like 15% off entire purchase; I print and off I go! Lots and lots of department or clothing stores have printable coupons. Another way I have saved lots of money is buying coupons off ebay. We usually buy 10% off Home Depot coupons off ebay. Usually you can buy the coupon for $2 a coupon and when you are doing a big project it can save a ton of money. Ok, I am done rambling now. Oh and one more thing...I love to google coupon codes when I buy stuff online! K, really I am done
