10k@10k
This weekend we headed up to my grandma's cabin in Fairview. It was the perfect time of year to go. Last night it was a crispy cool evening. I loved cuddling Addie up in a blanket to sit under the stars. This morning we woke up and headed a few miles away to paricipate in the Skyline Drive 10k @ 10 k (6.2 miles @ an altitude of 10,000 feet) It is a fundraiser for the local hospital. The funds go to purchasing needed medical supplies. The race was pretty grueling because the first few miles were uphill, but it was absolutely beautiful. My pictures don't do it justice. I miss my SLR- it is broken right now, and I wish that I had it so that I could better capture the views. It was fun just being with my family, and hanging out. Here are some pics from the weekend:

ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! Now that I am not huge and can actually make it up a flight of stairs without being exhausted I want to start running! Maybe next spring I could run something with you! I love the pics! They are beautiful!
